Recently Alessio Benavoli and I have published a paper in Statistics, a journal from Taylor & Francis group; the paper is concerned with using prior near-ignorance in the multivariate exponential family. Apart from a certain pride and self-promotion, the other reason why I am writing this email to the list is to advertise the name of the journal to our community.
As some of you will be aware, publishing an imprecise probability paper in a traditionally oriented statistical journal can be horribly tough; this is the case even if we use the traditional statistical language and take all the possible care to prevent criticism. I am thinking in particular of the papers that have the potential to affect the statistical practice rather than the purely theoretical papers. So to me it is good news that there exist some statistical journals (at least one) for which we are complete outsiders, that can eventually accept our papers. This is not to say that it will be easy, just possible. In fact in our case it has been quite difficult to convince the skeptical reviewers to make the paper go through.
If you have had a good experience with some statistical journal of the above type, you could consider sharing such information through this list as well, so as we all can be aware about the possible venues (as opposed to the impossible ones) for our statistical papers.
