WPMSIIP 2014 (8-12 Sept 2014, Ghent, Belgium)
7th Workshop on Principles and Methods of Statistical Inference with Interval Probability

The SYSTeMS research group at Ghent University are organising a workshop on principles and methods of statistical inference with interval (and more generally imprecise) probability, in collaboration with the WPSIIP work group. It will take place in the historical city centre of Ghent, from Monday the 8th of September until Friday the 12th of September. This workshop is a follow-up to six earlier WPMSIIPs held in Durham (2008, 2010), Ljubljana (2011), Munich (2009, 2012) and Lugano (2013).

The major aim of the workshop is to stimulate discussion on ongoing research in imprecise/interval probability theories, including recent developments and challenging open problems. Each day will consist of presentations covering a specific topic, while also leaving ample time for discussion. On Wednesday the 10th of September, there will be an excursion in Ghent, possibly including a boat trip along the rivers and canals and a visit to the city brewery.

Everyone, including PhD students, is welcome to participate and/or to propose interesting topics for the workshop! We welcome any stimulating contribution, ranging from a presentation to a short informal statement. Following the tradition of previous WPMSIIPs, there is no registration fee.
