PhD Position at The University of Manchester in the area of Uncertainty in Machine Learning

The Faculty of Humanities of The University of Manchester has an open Bicentenary PhD Studentship position.

The PhD research's more specific areas are eXplainable Deep Learning (XDL) and Uncertainty Quantification (UQ). The research focuses on developing new techniques based on Imprecise Probability Theory, that will improve the current state of the art at the intersection of XDL and UQ. This project allows for doing both fundamental and applied research, with the aim of advancing and bridging both theory and applications.

The candidate should hold a master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
