Alessandro and I have been in touch with Prof Pavese regarding a session on Uncertain Probabilities for the XXII World IMEKO Congress that Pavese is chairing in Belfast this year in September.
Prof Pavese is asking for a four-page paper to be considered for his special symposium TC21 Mathematical Tools for Measurements.
We personally think this is an excellent podium for the IP community to show how it can make a difference in the universe of measurements.
Here are some of the topics that we think may fit in this call:
Models of measurement uncertainty and its propagation. Measurement
models based on generalized (aleatoric and epistemic) uncertainty such
as imprecise probability, probability boxes, belief functions and
random sets, fuzzy sets.
The submission deadline: 5 March (already extended) is a bit tight but hopefully not impossible.
Please feel free to circulate this call among your colleagues and friends.
If you submit the paper please let either myself or Alessandro know.
Below some more details:
We look forward to your response.
Regards,
Marco & Alessandro
Disclaimer: We are not members of the committee for IMEKO, and we do not get any advantage from else's submissions. When Prof Pavese contacted us, we just thought this would be a great chance for IP to affirm its space in measurements.
