POSITION DESCRIPTION: The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in coordination with the Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence (www.Cyber-ShARE.utep.edu) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to support the growth of the Center's interdisciplinary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-centered research efforts in Knowledge Representation and Semantic Web. Duties include teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; conducting publishable research; grantsmanship; interdisciplinary collaboration at the Center; and department/university service. The ideal applicant should have extensive experience in working with interdisciplinary teams, a substantial record of scholarly work and professional service, the potential to secure external funding, experience in mentoring students, and the ability to contribute to the education and training of the next-generation of CI-savvy scientists and engineers. Anticipated appointment date is fall 2013.
