Apologies if you receive multiple announcements

The Twelfth International Symposium on Imprecise Probability: Theories and Applications (ISIPTA 2021) Granada, 6-9 July, 2021.

What if we told you that

Theres more to uncertainty than probabilities.

Would you agree? Then attend the 12th edition of ISIPTA: the worlds main forum on imprecise probabilities. For more information, visit http://www.sipta.org/isipta21

IMPORTANT NEWS:

- The conference will be hybrid (meaning you have a choice between attending online or in person) or fully online. The final format will be announced by March.

- The paper submission deadline is approaching: February 10th, 2021

TOPIC: The symposium is open to contributions on all aspects of imprecise probability, including (but not limited to) sets of probability measures, partial preference orderings, game-theoretic probability, choice functions, interval probabilities, lower and upper previsions, belief functions, and possibility theory.

CONCEPT: Even though attending in person may not be possible, we plan to keep the spirit of past ISIPTA conferences. Each accepted contribution will therefore be presented and discussed, in two separate sessions: a plenary session with short presentations, and a poster session devoted to more detailed explanations and discussions. We will make use of online tools to allow for social interaction. Informal meetings of small groups, for example, will be possible.

WHY ATTEND? The conference is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest developments in imprecise probability in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere where interaction and confrontation of ideas are the primary objectives. In addition, if Covid-19 allows it, we encourage you to come to Granada, a lively and beautiful city, with treasures such as the Alhambra, but also with its Albaicn Neighborhood, its impressive Cathedral, and its Renaissance and Baroque architecture.

SUBMISSIONS: 3 options are available

- Long papers (with a page limit of 9, excluding references)

- Short papers (with a page limit of 3, excluding references)

- Long abstracts (1 page, for ongoing research or summaries of recent journal publications)

Papers will be published by PMLR (Proceedings of Machine Learning Research).

After the conference, extended versions of selected conference contributions will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.
