Dear Friends,

The World Congress of the International Fuzzy Systems Association, joint with the Annual Conference of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society IFSA/NAFIPS'2019 will take place in Lafayette, Louisiana, June 18-22, 2019, https://interval.louisiana.edu/IFSA-NAFIPS/

Papers related to applications of interval, fuzzy, and imprecise probability uncertainty are very welcome.

This conference – while fuzzy – is organized by Baker Kearfott, one of the recognized leaders of the interval computations community, and one of its objectives is to bring different uncertainty-related communities, especially interval and fuzzy communities, closer together. From this viewpoint, papers in different areas of uncertainty are VERY welcome.

Papers accepted for this conference will appear in Springer-published proceedings of the IFSA/NAFIPS’2019 conference,  a volume that will appear before the conference. The reviews are almost all ready, authors will be informed shortly.

The deadline for papers has passed, this deadline was motivated by the need for papers to be included in the pre-conference proceedings. However, several possible authors who could not submit their papers to IFSA/NAFIPS conference on time asked for the possibility to submit papers later, so that they can be included in an additional post-conference volume. Springer publishers kindly agreed to have such a volume – provided, of course, that there will be sufficiently many good papers in this volume.

So, if you did not have a chance to submit by the previous deadline, please submit your papers by April 1, 2019, these papers will be considered for the post-conference Springer volume.

Hope to see you all in Lafayette!
