The UR Special Track at the 36th International Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society Conference (FLAIRS-36) is the 28th in the series. Like the past tracks, UR seeks to bring together researchers working on broad issues related to reasoning under uncertainty. Topics of Interest Papers on all aspects of uncertain reasoning are invited. Papers of particular interest include, but are not limited to: *Uncertain reasoning formalisms, calculi and methodologies *Reasoning with probability, possibility, fuzzy logic, belief function, vagueness, granularity, rough sets, and probability logics *Modeling and reasoning using imprecise and indeterminate information, such as: Choquet capacities, comparative orderings, convex sets of measures, and interval-valued probabilities *Exact, approximate and qualitative uncertain reasoning *Probabilistic graphical models of uncertainty such as: Bayesian networks, Markov random field, probabilistic circuits *Multi-agent uncertain reasoning and decision-making *Decision-theoretic planning and Markov decision process *Temporal reasoning and uncertainty *Non-monotonic reasoning *Conditional Logics *Argumentation *Belief change and merging *Similarity-based reasoning *Ontologies and description logics *Construction of models from elicitation, data mining and knowledge discovery *Uncertain reasoning in information retrieval, filtering, fusion, diagnosis, prediction, situation assessment *Uncertain reasoning in data management *Practical applications of uncertain reasoning *Learning probabilistic models *Applications in computer vision and animation === Paper Submission and Publication === Submitted papers must be original, and not submitted concurrently to a journal or another conference while under review. Interested authors should format their papers according to FLAIRS-36 conference formatting guidelines. Papers should not exceed 6 pages (4 pages for a poster) and are due by February 13, 2023. The reviewing is a double blind process. Author names and affiliations must be omitted on submitted papers. Papers must be submitted as PDF through the EasyChair conference system, which can be accessed through the main conference web site (http://www.flairs-36.info/) Authors should indicate the Uncertain Reasoning special track for submissions. All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of FLAIRS, which will be published by the Florida Online Journals. FLAIRS requires that there be at least one full author registration per paper. CONCEPT: Each accepted contribution is presented and discussed in two separate sessions. Presentations are short and plenary. PROCEEDINGS:Papers will be published by PMLR (Proceedings of Machine Learning Research).After the conference, extended versions of selected conference contributions will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning. FELLOWSHIPS: Artificial Intelligence Journal is funding 4 fellowships for PhD Students. More information on the conditions and applications will be given in due time. AWARDS: As in previous editions, there will be two types of awards: On the one hand, the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning will give the IJAR Young Researcher Award to a young researcher whose contributions to IP theory are outstanding. Next sipta seminar: 13th january (Friday) at 3pm Paris time

Dear SIPTiAns and IP enthusiasts, We are delighted to announce our sixth SIPTA online seminar on imprecise probabilities (IP), and the first of this new year. These monthly events are open to anyone interested in IP, and will be followed by a Q&A and open discussion. They also provide an occasion for the community to meet, keep in touch and exchange between in-person events. The sixth seminar will take place on the 13th of January (Friday), at 3pm Paris Time. The zoom link is https://utc-fr.zoom.us/j/89529523919 This sixth seminar will consist of a joint talk aiming at providing an overview of recent advances and challenges in a given field. For this, we are very happy to have three different speakers that will each give their view on the topic of Engineering in IP (during a 1 hour talk in total). We are very happy to have as our speakers Alice Cicirello, the founder and the Head of the Data, Vibration and Uncertainty Group at Tu Delft, Matthias Faes, Chair for Reliability Engineering at TU Dortmund, and Edoardo Pattelli, Professor in Risk and Uncertainty Quantification and the Head of the Centre for Intelligent Infrastructure at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at Strathclyde University. All of them have made impressive contributions as to how one can deal with imprecision and uncertainty in various engineering problems, with a very rich expertise in both theoretical and applied problems. We are very much looking forward listening to their thoughts about the state of IP in engineering! Curious?
