Call for Papers – REC2026 at TU Dortmund University Dear Colleague, We are pleased to invite you to the 11th International Workshop on Reliable Engineering Computing (REC2026), taking place 2–5 September 2026 at TU Dortmund University, Germany. Under the theme “Reliability Computations in a Data and Model-Driven World,”REC2026 connects classical uncertainty quantification with modern advances in AI and data science. As usually, a specific focus is on the development and application of imprecise probabilistic methods in engineering computations. REC2026 will offer an interdisciplinary forum on uncertainty quantification, risk assessment, and the reliability of engineering computations. The program includes keynote lectures, technical sessions, networking opportunities, a welcome reception (2 Sept), and a conference dinner (4 Sept). Call for Sessions: The 5th Italian Meeting on Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Palermo, June 8-12, 2026 Apologies if you receive multiple copies. ========================================= Conference announcement ========================================= The 5th Italian Meeting on Probability and Mathematical Statistics will be held in Palermo, Italy, from June 8-12, 2026. See: https://probabilitypalermo2026.unipa.it ============= Description ============= Established in 2017, the Italian Meeting on Probability and Mathematical Statistics aims to bring together Italian and international researchers with shared interests in any field of probability and mathematical statistics, promoting the dissemination of recent scientific results and fostering academic exchange. The first meeting was held in Turin in 2017. Since then, the meetings have taken place in Vietri sul Mare (2019), Bologna (2022), and Rome (2024). The 5th edition, promoted by the PRISMA group (https://umi-prisma.polito.it/) of UMI (Italian Mathematical Union), will be held in Palermo from June 8 to 12, 2026. ######################################################### BFTA 2025 - Call for Participation The 7th School on Belief Functions and their Applications University of Granada, Granada, Spain October 19 — October 23, 2025 <https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbfasociet…>https://bfasociety.org/BFTA2025/index.html ######################################################### The BELIEF school is a biennial event organized by the Belief Functions and Applications Society (BFAS) that offers a unique opportunity for students and researchers to learn about fundamental and advanced aspects of the theory of belief functions (also referred to as Dempster-Shafer theory, or evidence theory), a formalism for reasoning with uncertainty. The school will be organized around a set of lectures by prominent researchers. Lectures will gradually tackle basic to more advanced theoretical concepts. They will also highlight the links with other uncertainty theories such as random sets and possibility theory, and present applications of belief functions in various domains including machine learning, information fusion, statistical inference and materials science. Student early registration (which include the tuition fees, lunches, coffee breaks and the social event): 200€ Financial support: Financial support will be offered by BFAS and the journal of Artificial Intelligence to some students for attending the school. Grants will cover registration fees. An additional amount may also be granted to cover part of the travel or accommodation, depending on individual circumstances. ISIF members can ask for a 50% discount on the registration fee. ISIPTA 2025: call for poster submissions (submission deadline: 5 may)

*** The organizers would be grateful if you could inform potentially interested participants of this conference. *** ================================================================ 14th International Symposium on imprecise probabilities: theories and applications (ISIPTA 2015) Call for posters The ISIPTA 2025 conference will take place between July 15 and July 18 in Bielefeld, Germany. It will welcome researchers working on imprecise probability theories and connected fields from all over the world, to discuss recent advancements. If you did not have the time to submit a paper, there is still time to submit a poster abstract. This will not only allow you to actively participate in the event, but will also enable you to register at a reduced fee or, if you are a non-tenured scholar, to register for free. Following past ISIPTA traditions, poster submissions will receive substantial attention: each poster is presented at a plenary session as well as at the poster session that follows it, alongside the regular full paper contributions. We therefore encourage you to submit your work as a poster. This could be work in progress that you’d like to present or get feedback on, as well as existing published material that you’d like to present to the ISIPTA audience. Submissions consist of a one page abstract that summarizes the work to be presented. The deadline for poster submissions is May 5, 2025. Acceptance of poster submissions will be notified shortly after the submission. Krikamol Muandet is currently a chief scientist and tenure-track faculty (fast track) at CISPA - Helmholtz Center for Information Security which is within the Helmholtz Association where he leads the Rational Intelligence (RI) Lab. While Krikamol prime interest lies in machine learning, a field in which he has many contributions, he has also a strong interest in its intersections with imprecise probabilities, and in particular the idea of imprecision in learning. Since 2015, Micheal Beer is Full Professor and Head of the Institute for Risk and Reliability at Leibniz Universität Hannover. Michael Beer is a leading researcher and expert in reliability and risk analysis, as witness his 2022 Alfredo Ang Award on Risk Analysis and Management of Civil Infrastructure delivered by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). In particular, he has many important contributions on how to integrate imprecise probabilistic ideas within risk and reliability problems.
